    We have received a truly generous offer of £40,000 of matched funding which will allow us to complete the remaining accommodation blocks and train 100 people next year.     UNESCO partners with AVM

    We are delighted to announce that we have just signed a contract to become implementation partners with UNESCO which is managing part of the Skills and Technical Education Programme (STEP) in Malawi. STEP will be supporting bursaries for the next 18 months to train 150 marginalized people in different vocational skills.     6,000 more library books arrive at Sam's Village

    6,000 library books have travelled across the high seas and arrived safely at M'teza Library in Sam's Village.  Chikondi and Irene have started unpacking and shelving them.     We heard on Wednesday 15th August that sadly Essie Longwe our Assistant Director for The Landirani Trust in Malawi passed away. She was the most inspirational woman who helped form the Landirani Trust and was dedicated to helping the orphans and helping the women become self sufficient.
