    Alex is running the North London Half Marathon for us!

    21 year old Alex Walker has signed up to run the Vitality North London Half Marathon for us on Sunday 20th March!     Christmas Cards...now available...

    Earlier this year, we approached Kingston Art College to ask them to design our Christmas cards for 2014.  The students produced professional artwork and 5 wonderful designs were selected. They have an African Christmas design statement that shows the warmth of Malawi ‘The warm heart of Africa’.     Malawi Turns 50... update...

    Message of thanks from Heather Palmer; "Hi All Thanks so much for all your help last Friday, it couldn’t have been successful without you all.  We made £776 on the night from ticket sales, bar and raffle, with a further £350 on pre-sold tickets, making £1126.00.  Take off £75.84 spent on drinks and we made a total of £1,050.16 in total!  Amazing for 53 ticket holders plus volunteers."     Paul's mega bike ride...

    One of our fantastic supporters, Paul Alderson from Surbiton, has just completed an amazing 3,500km in The Transcontinental race from London to Istanbul in August. This is a non-stop unsupported race. He did this after shattering his femur in a cycling accident in 2012 and now pins are holding his bones together; this left him off his bike for a whole year!  He has decided to do this amazing… Read more

    In memory of Sam Hayes...

    Sadly Sam Hayes passed away tragically on September 10th 2013 at the age of 23 and his parents have decided to create a legacy that makes a positive change. His parents will support the building of the Landirani Training Village over the next 3 years and it will become known as ‘Sam’s Village’.  Sam's friend and family have undertaken to raise the £250,000 to complete and open this amazing project… Read more

    Sarah's mega cycle ride around the coast & blog...

    The Tour de France may have finished but Sarah Bowen has started her mega 4,000 km cycle ride around the coast of England and Wales for African Vision Malawi. She started on Thursday 18th July and funds raised will go to our project on the Landirani Training Village and specifically towards disability.     Vodafone World of Difference

    Pip and Sam are int he middle of their two month placement for the Vodafone foundation's "World of Difference" Scheme. They both won the chance to work for a charity of their choice (Landirani of course) for two months, funded by The Vodafone Foundation.     Thank you to Seeds for Africa

    We have recently been awarded £7,000 to continue our Reforestation project. It was Seeds for Africa who gave us our initial grant for the planting of the fruit tree orchards in our schools and they have given us this additional grant to ensure continued success in the reforestation of our area in Malawi.     On Thursday 26th June we went to the airport to pick up Mr Kafumbi Njewa, our Malawian Director.     The Heathland School's kind donation

    We are so grateful to The Heathland School for their kind donation. We took the bibs to Malawi with us last week and gave them to the kids. They were so happy and it made such a difference to them because it made them feel special and gives them a sense of worth and you can see how proud they are when they're wearing them!     Life in Malawi exhibition

    We had an exhibition on Friday with photographs by Gaynor Cook. The exhibition, entitled "Life in Malawi", was a collection of photographs taken in Malawi last year (April and October) and showed a variety of aspects of Malawian living and activities.
